We publish our hourly rates so you know exactly what to expect before you book. No hidden extras, just a clear price based on the team, vans and time your move needs.
Our Hourly Rates
Most of our moves are priced by the hour. The rate depends on how many people and vans your move needs. Every van needs a driver, so larger vans-to-crew combinations are not available.

What Is Charged on Top
- Travel: £1.25 per mile, per van, from our Liverpool base and back.
- Tolls, ULEZ and parking: charged at cost, including the Mersey Tunnels.
- Packing materials: supplied at cost price in most cases.
- Extra care cover: optional cover for high-value items at 3% of the item's value (£10 minimum). This may not be needed if your contents insurance already covers your move.
- Accommodation: only for long-distance jobs that run over 10 hours.

2 people and 1 van for 3 hours, with 10 miles of travel.

How to Keep Your Moving Costs Down
- Pack before we arrive. Because we charge by the hour, the more you have boxed and labelled, the quicker and cheaper your move.
- Declutter first. Moving less means a smaller team, fewer vans and a shorter day.
- Sort out parking. Clear access and a space close to the door save time at both ends.
- Disconnect appliances in advance. Gas, electric and water appliances must be disconnected by a qualified engineer before moving day.
Pricing FAQs
How much does a removal company cost in Liverpool?
With ProMove, rates start at £80 per hour for one person and a van, or £100 per hour for two people and a van, plus travel at £1.25 per mile per van. The total depends on the size of your move and how long it takes.
Do I have to pay VAT on top?
No. ProMove Removals Ltd is not VAT registered, so no VAT is added to any of our prices. The price we quote is the price you pay.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes. A deposit of one to two hours' labour, plus any extras, secures your date. If your moving date changes, we allow a 6 week window for your move to be rescheduled.
Are my belongings insured?
Yes. Every move includes £10,000 Goods in Transit cover. Optional extra care cover is available for high-value items.
