Terms & Conditions

Price Quoted

The price quoted, whether that be in person or over the phone, will be an accurate guide price based on the information we are provided with by yourself, the customer.

If we arrive and the job has changed, such as more items, larger/hazardous items require moving then we reserve the right to only move the items quoted or to issue a new quote to reflect these changes.

If there is a rodent/insect infestation at the property, we reserve the right to change our quoted price to cover costs of PPE and the handling of dangerous substances.

Deposit and Payment

Customers are required to pay a 20% deposit (£100 minimum) upon confirmation of booking to secure the desired moving date. The remainder of the quoted price is to be paid immediately upon the completion of the job.

If you have paid your deposit to secure a specific date, but then require to re-schedule your move, we require at least one weeks notice before the moving date you have booked. You will then have a 6 week window to re-schedule your move from the date of your previous move.

All bookings will come with an invoice in PDF form and we can send this to you via email, iMessage or WhatsApp upon request.

Our preferred method of payment is bank transfer however we also accept cash.

Preparation and Liability

Customers are responsible for preparing ALL items prior to the agreed moving date (unless otherwise agreed) and must accept liability for any damages that occur due to unsafely packed items.

We kindly ask all of our customers to ensure that we have a clear path from the property to our removals vehicle before our arrival, meaning all unnecessary obstructions and hazards are moved to minimise risk.

Damage to ProMove equipment (tools, uniforms, vehicles, etc) due to customer’s negligence may be charged to cover costs. Please make us aware of any important information which may prevent us from carrying out our job. Examples of this are freshly painted walls, sharp objects in parking area, other tradesmen working within the property.

- Removing Furniture & Large items -

Customers must tell us beforehand if the items being removed will require any special measures such as doors or windows being removed, items needing disassembling or unfixing from a permanent place (bolted to walls, floors, etc). If we unexpectedly have to do any of the above, this will likely prolong our job and cause more liability risk on our behalf.

- Removing Waste -

Customers are responsible for
ensuring that the waste to be removed is easily accessible for loading onto the removals vehicle. If the only access to the waste is through a building or past parked cars/valuable items then we may refuse to carry out the job unless the customer agrees to take full responsibility in the event where any damages are sustained.

The customer must make it clear what kind of waste will need removing before our arrival. We must be made aware of any dangerous or hazardous waste prior to the removal job being agreed on and undertaken.

- Unique Details -

We ask that our customers make us aware of any unique details in regards to their move. This could mean informing us that we will be dealing with a customer who has "special needs", if the property has pets, or any other factors which may require us to make preparations before our arrival.

In the event where we have a booking agreed but are unable to attend due to vehicle failure, we will return any deposits which we may have received. We will let you know as soon as we're able to, and in some circumstances we may still be able to complete the job with a rental vehicle if the additional costs are covered by the customer.

Disconnecting Appliances

Any appliances which are hardwired into the mains utilities (gas & electric) will need to be disconnected by a registered engineer before we can remove them. This does not include appliances plugged into a regular UK plug socket.

We are happy to unplumb & re-fit washing machines and dishwashers providing all of the necessary fitments & utility inlets/outlets are available.

We may test some appliances before disconnecting to ensure that they are in good working order before we carry out our work.

Disassembling & Reassembling

We offer a disassembly and reassembly service for certain items however we must be made aware of such items by the customer at the time that the job is quoted for and agreed upon.

If the item is already damaged or looks unsuitable for disassembly due to not being able to be satisfactorily re-assembled then we reserve the right to refuse to disassemble such items for liability reasons.

Excluded & Refused Items

We do not allow the carriage of the following items on our vehicles:

Containers of paint.

Bricks or hardcore exceeding 1,000kg.

Aspestos or other hazardous materials.

Recycling & Repurposing of Items from Clearances

We are registered waste carriers, meaning we are licensed to carry & dispose of "waste" at registered (non-public) recycling centres.

The charges we have to pay to dispose of waste varies drastically depending on the type (rubble, green waste, wood, general waste, etc) and weight.

With this, we may choose to donate, sell or repurpose any items/materials which come into our possession.

Invoices will be generated for all items sold on by us, however this is not a Guarentee of refund to the buyer. All items sold are 2nd hand from removals jobs and thus are “sold as seen”.
